Peter Buurman

After completing a Bachelor of Commerce at UBC (1970), Peter earned his RIA/CMA designation in 1975. For the next thirteen years, Peter held positions with: Arthur Anderson, CA (global consulting firm), Controlled Foods Inc. (restaurant / hospitality), Omni Communications (radio and paging equipment), Dogwood Wholesale Ltd (stationary supplies), and Canada Revenue Agency (business auditor). Seeking more autonomy, Peter joined Schenderling and Associates, a public practice CMA firm, as a partner; until in 1988 he launched Buurman & Co. - his own CMA firm.
Peter, a dedicated community volunteer, has acted as Treasurer for
Big Brothers Big Sisters,
Arthritic Society of Langley, and
Langley Minor Football (also a volunteer coach). Currently he is a member and Treasurer of the
Riverside Flyers - where he flies his radio controlled model aircrafts. Outside of the office, Peter surrounds himself with family - his loving wife, his two sons, his granddaughter, and his four-legged family members - Molson a Collie Cross, and Bailey a Rottweiler.
